Australian Sailing is delighted to announce GURNER™ as naming rights partner of the 2019 Saint Moritz by GURNER™ Australian Yachting Championships.

The sandy beaches and challenging waters of Port Philip Bay are not the only things to look forward to at Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron in late January, with the 2019 installment of Australian Sailing’s offshore regatta returning to Melbourne’s shorelines. This year’s event will be bolstered by the support of Melbourne-based luxury residential property developer GURNER™. GURNER™ who’s recent project, St Moritz Beachfront Residences, is set to join the momentum of regeneration for St Kilda.

With one of the best vantages in the surrounding area, Saint Moritz Beachfront Residences by GURNER™, overlooks the shoulder of our host club at the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron in St Kilda and across the expanses of Port Phillip where some of the finest keelboats in the world will be doing battle.

John Lee, CEO of Australian Sailing, is excited to welcome GURNER™ as naming rights partner to one of Australian Sailing’s premier events.

“Australian Sailing are delighted to be partnering with GURNER™ at the 2019 Saint Moritz by GURNER™ Australian Yachting Championships. Like GURNER™, the event prides itself on celebrating the best Australia has to offer. We are extremely excited about hosting this year's instalment in conjunction with Saint Moritz Beachfront Residence by GURNER™, which is a stone’s throw from our hosts at the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron in St Kilda.

We would like to thank GURNER™ for their support of the event, and we look forward to delivering a successful Championships in conjunction with them in January 2019."

With a focus on the local area and stunning shorelines of St Kilda, GURNER™ and its founder and director Tim Gurner are invested in the success of local events, clubs and organisations such as the Australian Yachting Championships.

“Our latest project takes in view over the spectacular Port Phillip Bay and Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron and we would be remiss not to support this elite event, right on our doorstep. GURNER™ wishes all participants fair winds and following seas. May it be an action-packed, fun-filled event in January.”

The 2019 Gurner Australian Yachting Championships will be held from 21 -24 January, racing will be conducted for IRC, ORCi and PHS divisions, plus Port Phillip AMS Regatta across the four days. With after race entertainment and celebrations also to feature, this regatta is a must do event.
